I was just talking with a friend
and she used the same word I just found myself
i love and deeply appreciate
these joyful moments of
connection and synchronicity
and yes,
in case you were wondering,
sometimes one need to find the right word
to articulate what happens in the interior world
what i am talking about is a word used for illusions
we have from and about ourselves.
they are deeply embedded in our
minds, hearts and stomach.
and very often, they have nothing to do with lived reality .
and when the gap becomes too huge
(see earlier blog posts about theory and practice)
one can be only unhappy
sticking to the old version of oneself
unable to understand why personal needs aren’t match

the Cambridge dictionary says it is
“a fixed, especially religious, belief or set of beliefs
that people are expected to accept without any doubts”
in this sense,
it is a belief or set of beliefs about us
that we set ourselves
without doubting them.
and we are the authority
that not only build them
but also keeps following them blindly.
we think these beliefs are incontrovertibly true .
that’s why it is so hard to find them while listening to our hearts
because we don't know they exist
thus, i found observation so so helpful.
when there are huge discrepancies
from what i think and say in theory
regarding to what i do in practice...
when i realize that I am doing something
totally different from what i am preaching
and believe me, it happens often,
... that’s the initial point to dig deeper,
to questioning myself more and
to ask brutal honesty to be my guide.
and when i am ready
i may be lucky
that the answer is revealed to me.
when i am not ready
i won't find anything.
and that’s okay too.
...for a while
still, we are human
however
observation is the key.
it helps to understand ourselves and others
in situation where we think we are doing good
when in reality we are harming others,
for example.
the topic that inspired me to write about dogmas is a bit more complex
and when I am ready top put it into words
i am glad to share it with you
just let me tell you one thing:
never judge somebody else!
not only because we never have all the information ,
nor walking in this person’s shoes,
or that it simply isn't our business,
and many more reasons
why it absolutely doesn't make sense
to judge anybody else
but
mostly: for us
we may change one day
and when we transform into something
we labelled with a negatively connotated dogma,
we somehow make it more difficult for ourselves,
sometimes even almost impossible,
to allow ourselves to change and grow.
some ideas
i once had about my life
are not true anymore
i changed so much
how can i still hold on to these dogmas
and being content at the same time?
obviously,
it is more easy to see it in others
than in ourselves
well
we can learn from other people’s experiences
but one shouldn’t forget that
we need to change ourselves first
before we think we need to change the world
if everybody would just do so much
we would already have less problems in this world
anyway
revisit your dogmas today
and allow yourself to grow
again
